Bengal Commercial Bank Job Circular 2022
Mr. Md. Jasim Uddin has been elected chairman of the bank. He will be the chairman of the bank for the next three years. On the other hand, Mr. Tarek Morshed, a renowned banker, has been nominated as Managing Director and Mr. Shahid Hossain as Advisor. Earlier, on February 16 last year, Bangladesh Bank decided to approve three new banks in the private sector. These are Bengal Commercial, People’s and Citizen Bank. The owner of The Citizen Bank is Jahanara Haque, mother of current law minister Anisul Haque. MA Kashem, a leader of the People’s Bank, is a resident of Sandwip in Chittagong. As per the rules, one has to apply for a new bank approval with a fee of Rs 10 lakh. And it takes a paid up capital of Rs 400 crore to get the final approval. However, the central bank has set a condition to increase the paid-up capital of these three banks from Tk 400 crore to Tk 500 crore. Besides, banks have to first register with RJSC and form companies. Bangladesh Bank will then issue the final license for the bank in accordance with Section 32 of the Banking Companies Act.
